In simple terms, licensing and accreditation is proof that your business is professional and committed to quality and service. It’s a confidential process that’s straightforward and simply verifies the practices you already have in place.

2. It’s your point of difference in a highly competitive industry – your licensing or accreditation status will be featured in the member section of the ATFA website and consumers will be able to refine their search for ‘licensed and accredited members’
3. We’ll be promoting the benefits of ATFA licensing and accreditation to consumers.

Here’s an example for Licensed Contractors

all you need is:

1. Proof of time in business (usually your business registration)
2. Copies of your quoting proforma, warranty and contract – you may already have these, or all of these are available from ATFA at no cost (Example Quote/Example Warranty/Example Contract – contact us for set up). These documents are just operationally good business that everyone should be doing and having a contract is a legal requirement under consumer laws.
3. QA practices in place for 5 jobs (sample proforma attached). These may look daunting but they are well worth getting in the habit of, they may save your bacon when a dispute arises. We have checklists for all disciplines
4. Have attended one workshop and one webinar in the last two years, if you haven’t, register for one now!
5. QA practices extends to records for 5 jobs (we have checklists for all disciplines Adhesive fixed Prefinished Solid Engineered Bamboo, Floating Engineered Bamboo Laminate and Solid Timber Flooring)
6. Photos of top five jobs
7. Contacts and references for 3 of those five jobs
