For Hybrid/Vinyl Flooring, the Classification is determined by a ‘basket’ of test results in accordance with EN16511. These include Taber, impact resistance, static indentation, castor chair resistance and joint strength.
Concerning manufacture, the European standard EN 13329 is more often referred to, as product manufacturers in Asia also infer compliance to the European standard with the pictogram from that standard as provided below.
If not covered by another standard (e.g. NOFMA for Maple sports floors) then it is expected that hardwood flooring meets AS 2796 requirements at the time of manufacture (post manufacturing conditions in the supply chain must be assessed at each point):
